Low Tension (LT) Cables

Low tension (LT) lines have low voltage (less than 1kV) and high current distribution .(eg.230V/440V).The power supplying to our household applications are at LT . It is used to transmit power at very small distances and uses thicker conductors.

In railway traction LT would be the 600V to 700Vdc 3rd rail system, and HT the overhead system with vo,tages from 1500Vdc to 25kVdc according to country.
